Michael Shaw LRPS

Although I have always enjoyed 'taking pictures', it was my leap into the digital world in 2003, and especially the move upwards to a DSLR in 2005, which ignited my passion for photography. Retirement last year from my hectic and demanding working life as a vet finally allowed me the time to explore the subject in more depth and develop a direction which, up until then, had been largely absent. Working towards an RPS Distinction helped greatly in structuring my approach to the subject and I succeeded in gaining my LRPS in June 2011. The photography in this project was influenced strongly by colour, form, light and structure and my successful panel is shown in this portfolio.
