The Region covers the central southern area of England from Dorchester to Chichester, including Swindon, Newbury, Reading & Bracknell, together with Isle of Wight & Channel Islands. Within this area we have 900 plus members and generally average between 30 and 40 to a meeting, non members are always welcome.

Meetings are held mainly in Sparsholt, a village near Winchester, which we find reasonably central to the area with suitable facilities. We also meet in Kinson near Bournemouth; ideas for suitable venues at the right price are always welcome.

Lectures cover most photographic subjects and are held from September to May, approximately one per month except December. We try to obtain the best speakers that are not readily available to local camera clubs due to distance and cost. For the past two years we have held a weekend meeting which included field trips led by leading Fellowship members along with lectures and a very enjoyable social side.

In an effort to provide an improved service to members when booking events Peter Hartland has agreed to take the bookings for Southern Region events. Send a cheque as before for the full amount to Peter, please find his address, contact details and email below. From this point forward we will no longer be issuing tickets for events, you will receive a confirmation email from Peter. Print off this confirmation email and bring it along to the event as evidence of payment and your booking. Should you not have access to email send an SAE so that we can provide you with confirmation of the booking.
