Distinctions Advisory Days
LRPS and ARPS Advice
Our events for LRPS/ARPS advice book up quickly, and long notice enquiry is essential. Before considering booking a place for advice, you must read the relevant sections of the Society's Distinctions handbook, and also the local regional guidelines.
Typically, we have up to 14 spaces for LRPS advice, and up to 7 spaces for ARPS advice on each day. ARPS advice always covers Visual Art, which is the most popular. Other ARPS panels may be accommodated. There are also many spaces for observers who do not bring work for advice.
Media may be prints or projected images. We do not cover advice on Multimedia & Narrative, which are organised centrally.
FRPS Advice
Small-group workshops for FRPS advice are organised separately. Only members holding ARPS may book through the region. The workshop will be led by an adviser regardless of the panel topic (Visual Art, Applied, Nature, etc). Media will be prints only. See the regional guidelines.
Note: Prospective applicants in Contemporary may prefer to attend the specialist ARPS/FRPS advisory days run by the Contemporary Group.
SURVEY OF ARPS MEMBERS:
Members holding ARPS were surveyed by e-mail to estimate the demand for FRPS workshops. The results are available. Thanks to those who responded.
Advisory Days and FRPS Workshops for all Regions and Groups are listed here.
