There was an informal outing at Hatfield House. Only a few members turned up for our first experiment in the 'event-lite' format. The weather was reasonable, and we also visited St Ethelreda's church nearby, where the Rev.Pyke explained the history of the building. Parts of the church date from 1290, and there are some stained glass windows from the 19th century.
