2012 Annual Members’ Exhibition

The Western Region Annual Members’ Exhibition is again to be held in Bath, Swindon and Taunton. The Exhibition opens with the Award Ceremony by Jon Benington, Head of Victoria Art Gallery, Bath on Monday, 17th September 2012 at Bath Central Library, Podium, at 6:30 pm to 08:30 pm, to which you and your quest are invited to join for drinks and nibbles.

The Exhibition opens to the public at the following venues and dates from 09:30am to 5:00pm.

Bath Central Library, Podium, Bath – Tuesday 18th September to Saturday 22nd September 2102 (note for one week only).
Swindon West Library, The Link Centre, Swindon – Monday 5th November to Saturday 17th November 2012

Taunton Central Library – 26th November to 8th December 2012.

Each WR member is invited to submit 2 prints with the guarantee that at least one of their prints will be selected for the exhibition (see ‘Print Guidelines’ document). Prints are to be submitted at one of the next two Sunday morning monthly meetings at Claverton Community Hall, Bath. That is:-

1st hand-in: Sunday 3rd June 2nd hand-in: Sunday 1th July

Please ensure that you include a completed ‘Print Submission Form’ to be found on the Downloads page of this site and a CD containing JPEG copies of your prints (see Print Requirements document also on the Downloads page).

Alternatively post your mounted prints, submission form and CD to the following address. Please note that postal packages cannot be accepted before 13th June and after 8th July.

All prints will be returned and available for collection at the RPS-WR Christmas meeting on Sunday 9th December.

This year the judges are:-
Roger Reynolds, Hon FRPS, FBPPA, FBPE, APAGB, and Vanessa Slawson, FRPS

The judges will award the society’s Gold Medal for their choice of best print in the exhibition, together with six RPS Ribbons for the runners up. Visitors to the exhibitions will also be encouraged to name their choice for the best print in the exhibition for ‘The Peoples’ Choice Award’.
