The British Copyright Council, of which the Society is a member, has continued its work on explaining the legal side of intellectual property. As part of a revamp of their web site, a couple of new A5-sized cards of the 'Copyright Highway Code' have been made available.

One is on performers' rights, but probably of more interest to photographers is an introduction to moral rights, which can be found on this web page. Your rights related to the financial exploitation of your work are called economic rights. Moral rights are concerned with your reputation and with your receiving due credit for your work.

Other rights related information can be found here on the BCC site.

Andy Finney is the Society's representative on the BCC and is the editor of the Copyright Highway Code project.
