Nicholas White:

Published by Another Place Press in early 2018, Black Dots, is a three-year exploration of mountain bothies (secluded mountain shelters) scattered across the British Isles, most of which are accessible only on foot. It also examines bothy culture and the growing community of bothy-users and volunteers who tirelessly maintain them.

Alongside the RPS Environmental Bursary, Nicholas White has been the winner of numerous awards including Lens Culture Emerging Talent and Magenta Foundation Flash Forward in 2017, Night Contact at Brighton Photo Biennial in 2014, FotoNow South West Graduate Photography Prize and Magnum Photos Showcase in 2013.

White’s work has been featured in the RPS Journal, BJP, VICE, Creative Boom and many more. He has exhibited in exhibitions across the UK, with work from the Black Dots series showing in New York this coming month.
