Jonathan Taylor has joined the Bleeding London crew.
"I have lived in and enjoyed London all my life, West, South West, East and finally South East where I've been for over thirty years.
I always enjoyed roaming its streets and buildings, the grand and the quirky corners, meeting it's people and seen the way it has changed to this vibrate multi-cultural global city that I love.
I've used a camera all my life, the first being a Voightlander 35mm rangefinder, developing and printing in B&W, and the camera has always been a major tool of my trade as a TV production designer. But, a couple of years ago, research into a story set in Afghanistan lead me to the work of Steve McCurry, who's wonderful images inspired me to start taking photography more seriously.
My themes have mainly concerned London - its relationship with nature, and the way its inhabitants use and abuse the streets.
I love the Bleeding London project and the audacity of idea that as a motley collection of individuals we can make it happen.
The area I would aim to shoot is my home patch of Camberwell and Peckham, with a few other odd corners thrown in."
