Today’s suggestion is to look for street names that include other places in the UK.
Many streets in London are named after the places to which they once led or the original home-town of the people who lived there. Today’s suggestion for Bleeding London is to find them and photograph them. Let’s see how many different ones we can find! For added fun, why not choose an area of the UK and see how many of those places are represented in the street names?
As RPS HQ is based in Bath, we had a look for nearby places and found: Any number of Bath Roads, Courts and Places; Box Lane; Corsham Street; Chippenham Road; Keynsham Avenue, Gardens, Road and Walk; Trowbridge Road; Lacock Close and Court, but no sign of any reference to Shepton Mallet or Weston-Super-Mare – although we have found Weston Avenue, Close, Court, Drive, Gardens, Park, Rise, Road, Street, Walk and Way.
Don’t forget to use the hashtag #BleedingLondon!
