Not difficult to guess today’s Bleeding London suggestion, given that it’s St George’s Day.
Today we’re looking for anything to do with St George – there are Mews, Mansions, Places, Closes, Buildings and even a St Georges Circus (SE1). Additionally there are numerous streets named after King George as well as lesser known Georges and anonymous Georges.
We can also use the findings from today to add to our apostrophe research.
The bonus points today will be awarded for images that show St George’s dragon, so the city workers have the advantage as the boundaries to the city are marked by some fairly fearsome dragons. And for non-city inhabitants, there are plenty of pubs bearing the George and Dragon name.
