Today we’re looking for blue plaques in Bleeding London.
Blue plaques commemorate ‘the link between notable figures of the past and the buildings in which they lived’ (English Heritage) and there are plenty of them around London. So today, we’re inviting BL’ers to collect blue plaques.
We have three categories of bonus points today: (1) Continuing our literary theme, there is one bonus point for blue plaques of authors. (2) We’ve seen a green plaque around town and we think that represents an Irish person of interest, so double points for green plaques. (3) We’ve also spotted some non-circular plaques and we’re offering triple bonus points for these – extra points if you can provide an explanation as to why they’re not round because we haven’t the faintest idea!
