Classical Music

31 May 2014

Region: London

Today Bleeding London is looking for streets related to classical music.

Thanks again to Bob for today’s suggestion, which is to find musically related streets, but strictly classical.  Examples include Mozart Terrace SW1, Handel Sreet WC1, Organ Lane E4, Schubert Road SW15, Triangle Place SW4, Beethoven Street W10, Symphony Mews W10, Elgar Avenue SW16, Drum Street E1, Verdi Crescent W10, Viola Avenue SE2, Sullivan Avenue E16.

We’re offering bonus points for anything pertaining to Mozart and double bonus points for the Mozart Estate (W10), for that is mentioned in the book: ‘[T]he Mozart Estate, not famed for its prodigies or genius’ (Bleeding London, Geoff Nicholson, 1997:27).  (BPCC 0531)

Anyone actually considering visiting Mozart estate might want to do a risk assessment first. I'm not particularly shy about visiting these estates but this is one I'd think twice about
