Our postmaster for the KT postcode area, Keith Houghton, has joined Bleeding London to stretch himself beyond the square of Instagram!
“I rediscovered a love of photography when I got my first iPhone. It became so easy to go out and take photos of anything and everything. Then I discovered Instagram and I got really hooked! The results you can get from the camera are amazing and it fits in my pocket which is a real bonus. I don’t have a particular style – I just shoot whatever catches my eye at the time. All my photos are taken using an iPhone 4S and edited either there on on an iPad.
I now co-manage the Instagramers London community group and organise photo walks all over London. I’ve met some amazing people, all thanks to this little mobile phone app, and had pictures in exhibitions at places including Somerset House, the Truman Brewery and the Getty Gallery.
I love the idea of the Bleeding London project and I’ve got involved to stretch myself beyond the square of Instagram!
I live in Surbiton, home of The Good Life, and work in Kingston upon Thames. I am co-ordinating the KT postcode area for the project to show that London isn’t just iconic sights and Zone 1 but much more than that!”
