To get this image I had to firstly get on a camel, secondly I had to stay on the camel for 4 hours with all my camera gear and overnight stuff on my back.....
Having achieved the first two challenges we arrived at our camp which had nice little tents and not so nice toilets, a girl has to do what a girl has to do to get the shot!
After the camel man cooked us the most wonderful meal and we persuaded some French people, who arrived in a 4x4, to part with a bottle of wine it was time for bed.
The bed was a 6 inch mattress and a brick for a pillow but I did manage to get a little sleep. Dawn arrived and off we went into the dunes. The only way up for me was my 'camera buddy' holding one end of my tripod and me holding the other; Alison is tiny but she managed to pull me up to the selected spot.
The scene set, camels on the ridge and all we had to do was wait for the light and press the shutter but wait ... some people were walking into my shot? Out came the gun and I dared them to spoil my shot.
All's well that ends well, I got my shot and now all I had to do was get back on the camel and get back to base.
What an adventure!
