Can we score a hat-trick?
Two of the last three Documentary Photographer of the Year Competitions have been won by London members. Can we make it three out of four?
Well, we can but try. If you haven’t entered yet, there’s just one week left to do so – the closing date is the 31st August.
The competition is open to members of the Documentary Group, but it’s easy to join (see below for details). You just need five images accompanied by a statement of no more than 140 words.
Full information about how to enter can be found at http://www.dpoty.com/rules.html.
The six winning entries of the 2014 competition can be seen on the competition’s website together with details of some eye-watering prizes. ALL entrants will have at least one image displayed at the DPOTY exhibition that takes place at the beginning of November.
One DG member will be crowned with the title: Documentary Photographer of the Year 2015, but as the old saying goes ‘you’ve got to be in it to win it’.
Any questions can be raised with David Cantor at DPOTY@rps.org
So, let’s see if another Londoner can follow in the footsteps of Nazmul and Dee and make it a hat-trick for the region.
