London AGM and the Year Ahead
The London Region held its AGM on Wednesday 7th January. It was a short meeting and the minutes are available on-line here.
Following the AGM, the re-elected Regional Organiser, Del Barrett ARPS, gave a brief account of plans for the London Region going forward. This included an update about Bleeding London, revealing the draft of a planned monthly eZine and ideas for Capital Exposure Week in November 2015.
Del also reported that the micro-groups had proven to be a successful way of managing the region, since not only were like-minded photographers able to pursue their own interests, but it enabled the workload to be much more evenly spread amongst the volunteers.
This was then followed by an excellent and engaging talk from Danny Green, who was the star attraction for the launch of London, Naturally.
Keep an eye on the London pages of the RPS website for further details.
The London Region does not operate with a committee, per se, but rather with a team of function executives and we’ll be using the blog to introduce them all over the next few weeks. But we still have room for more! So if you can help out in any way, please let us know via firstname.lastname@example.org. Top of our Situations Vacant list are volunteers to help man the distinctions advisory days.
