Film Screening Tonight

20 June 2015

Region: London

Screening of THE VIEW FROM OUR HOUSE (2013, 76mins) this Saturday, June 20th, at 18.00 at the Garden Studio, The Ditch, Shoreditch Town Hall, 380 Old Street, London EC1V 9LT

THE VIEW FROM OUR HOUSE is a film by Anthea Kennedy and Ian Wiblin based on the disturbing memory of a young photographer, Erika Koch, in 1930s Berlin who was eventually forced into exile. This is an experimental documentary, filmed in Berlin-Tempelhof, that engages with the representation of place, history and memory.

The screening is part of DIS/PLACED (16-21 June 2015), a week-long exhibition and programme of events in response to (more recent) global demographic shifts and unprecedented levels of human displacement.
