It’s been a busy old week and last night’s attraction was the opening of the Urbanicity exhibition (Idea Store, Whitechapel) and the launch of the book of the same name created by London, Urban – a micro-group of RPS London.
Each member has been working on an individual project, documenting London through an urban lens: life, landmarks and landscapes; markets, moments and monuments; structures, steel and stone; the ordinary and the extraordinary of this ever evolving metropolis – all are brought together in Urbanicity.
Copies will be on sale today at the Magic Gallery (address below) at the special launch price of £19.99. From next week, they will be on sale via the RPS shop. Urbanicity is published by the Royal Photographic Society.
We’re now looking for submissions for the next volume – if you’d like to participate, drop us a line via firstname.lastname@example.org.
IT’S PARTY TIME!
Although some of the exhibitions continue until the end of the month, tonight sees the official closing party of Capital Exposure Week from 18:30 at the Magic Gallery, 7 Charing Cross Underground Arcade, WC2N 4HZ (we’re next door to Davenports Magic Shop).
