Breathing London Day 9 and we’re starting to see some great images on FB: it’s good to have many of you signing up already and to meet old friends again from Bleeding London
We have successfully resolved issues with the website and now expect to go live in mid-February. Meanwhile, please start taking your images and keep them safe on your hard drive until we send you the "go ahead", or keep them safe and share them with others by uploading them to a personal Album on the RPS website (see the sign-up page for details of how to do this).. Watch for relevant London Region Blogs, check the FB Page, which we are currently using to keep you up to date, and join in the exchanges of ideas and pictures on our FB Group,
And now for our first “Picture of the Month Competition”.
As announced at the AGM last week, we are running a series of “Picture of the Month” Competitions. These will be judged by Robert Canis, who will pick what he deems to be the best picture, one which fits the monthly theme and the spirit of Breathing London.
Every photographer who is signed up to Breathing London will be able to select one picture for entry into the competition and tag it accordingly (we will give you the tagline after mid-Feb).
The competition will normally run for the calendar month in questions, and we will give everyone three days leeway after the end of the month to upload their pictures. This first competition will be for an image taken between 15th January (Breathing London Day 1) and the 29th February, and the image must be uploaded by mid-night on 3rd March.
The prize will be an A4 framed print of your winning image.
The February topic is “WEATHER. So, images taken on unusually sunny days, in the snow, on a misty morning etc. or record images of anything unusual – storms, tempest, floods – or just a normal February day! You know the sort of thing!
