16 January 2016
We had a wonderful evening! The formal proceedings of the AGM were once again concluded in less than ten minutes, with our script beautifully presented by Eric Richard (not normally associated with being the understudy!).
After the formal proceedings, we enjoyed a brief presentation of the highlights of 2015 and then moved on to the exciting part of the evening – the launch of Breathing London. Whereas Bleeding London photographed all the streets of the capital, Breathing London will involve photographing the green spaces – from the large parks to the small green pockets. It will be run similarly to Bleeding London with challenges, blogs and competitions – full details will be on the RPS website very soon., but if you can’t wait, follow the buzz on Facebook. Any questions? Email Judy or Jen via firstname.lastname@example.org.
Mentoring us through the year will be award-winning wildlife and landscape photographer, Robert Canis. He started the project by selecting the best three images of London’s green spaces from the images brought by members to the AGM. Congratulations to the winners!
- Gold Medal – Penny Dixie ARPS
- Silver Medal – Jennette Russell LRPS
- Bronze Medal – Mo Greig ARPS
We’ll be uploading the winning images, the minutes of the meeting and the presentation to the website within the next few days, so keep an eye on the “About Us” section of the London pages of the website.
You can see more images in the AGM album and we'll be adding more when members have sent them in.
