The forecast was for rain at first and the promise of some sun before lunchtime.  Sure enough after a briefing by Graham and the taking of orders for pasties, we set off from the chalet at Hayle down onto the beach.  The sun was at times appearing from behind the clouds to create great shadows across the golden sand. Some were content with this scene whilst others ventured further afield to capture the patterns in the sands, the amazing colours of the rocks and other inspiring subjects.

We met back for lunch as Carol had prepared homemade tomato soup and it was delicious whilst the pasties had been purchased from Phillps.  After lunch you had the opportunity to either stay in the chalet, return to the beach or go into Hayle to explore the harbour environment. Several of us were content to stay in the chalet and enjoy the view and each others company.  The weather in the afternoon deteriorated so most of the attendees were back by about 3-30 for a cuppa before driving home.

The 19 people who came enjoyed the day and our thanks go to Graham and Carol for their hospitality and organisation of the day.
