On Wednesday we welcomed Angie Butler and Caro Mantella of Ice Tracks Expeditions to The Assembly Room in Chichester. This was well attended and enjoyed by all. We obtained an interesting insight into the background and history of early exploration to the Polar Regions, followed by learning about the many photographic opportunities and challenges that the photographer faces.
In particular, some great wildlife photography and images showing the diversity of the landscape. Overall a truly inspirational insight into such a remote region of the world.
The guest speakers then took questions from the audience on a range of topics, including the logistics of planning a voyage to the Polar Regions and other considerations such as what clothing and equipment to take.
Thanks goes to Angie and Caro for taking their time in such a busy schedule and for everyone who attended. It was great meeting you and hope to see you next time.
Should RPS members like to join a voyage to the Arctic or Antarctica with photography as one of the highlights, Ice Tracks are offering all RPS members a generous discount!
