On Sunday 24th January the Southern Region hosted a distinctions advisory day at Kinson Community Centre in Bournemouth, Dorset. This covered LRPS and ARPS levels in categories of Pictorial and Applied.
The panel assessors were Vanessa Slawson FRPS and Walter Benzie HonFRPS who gave valuable advice to all. The day was a great opportunity to learn about the distinctions process and to gauge the standards required to achieve a society distinction. It was also great to see the stunning panels on display.
The main hall was packed full of over 55 people, including 15 who attended for distinctions advice.
My thanks also goes to Chris Longridge who supported the Southern Region on the day. Chris gave a short talk and was available throughout to promote Longridge Mount Cutter Systems and to guide everyone on the many options for mounting your prints.

For those who attended, thank you for your support and I hope you enjoyed the experience.
If you couldn’t attend, remember we are holding another distinctions advisory day, this time in St. Peter Port, Guernsey on Saturday 27th February 2016. Spaces are still available.
We also intend to hold further distinctions advisory days later in the year.
See you next time,
Paul Gilmour LRPS
