Welcome to the Yorkshire Region web pages of the RPS web site.
The Region covers a wide and diverse area, stretching from the high Pennine Moors in the west through to the varied and attractive coastal landscapes in the east and from the West and South Yorkshire urban conurbations in the south to the rolling landscapes of the North Yorkshire plains and North York Moors in the north.
Of course the rugged east coastline also offers plenty of picture opportunities and for bird lovers we are fortunate in having the RSPB reserve at Bempton for seabird enthusiasts.
As well as including the cities of Sheffield, Bradford, Leeds and York the region includes areas of the Peak District, Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors National Parks.
At the moment the region has 457 members and it is fair to say that between them they cover just about every aspect of the photographic spectrum.
We have an enthusiastic Regional Organiser in Mary Crowther LRPS who keeps things on the move with the help of an active and hard-working committee.
Mary can be contacted on e-mail at: firstname.lastname@example.org and by phone on:

See our Yorkshire News section for details of an extra speaker at our members exhibition in October.
PEOPLE have been asking about how to add pictures to the Yorkshire pages. A District Page with the helpful title "How to . . ." tells how to add a picture or pictures to the site and hopefully it will prove useful.
