Field Trips

Archaeology Day at Towton battlefield

The tour is based on a well-tried formula, in which participants meet at a fixed point, and drive to each location behind Eric Houlder, our guide and organiser for the day. Each significant spot is then walked to, with Eric Houlder providing a commentary about the battle and its aftermath. Obviously there will be many opportunities to shoot pictures. The final location is the car park of the pub where we eat supper, though not before visiting Cock Bridge where the final massacre of the battle occurred.
