The first National Audio Visual Championships was held in March 1980, and this bye-annual competition has just completed its 18th event. It is the only RPS "National" audio-visual competition open to all AV sequence producers resident in Great Britain. It is therefore regarded with high esteem and attracts both established AV authors and newcomers.
The 18th National AV Championships took place over the weekend of the 13th to 15th September 2013 at Nottingham Universities Sutton Bonington Campus. Nearly 70 people were in attendance and over the weekend 54 digital AV sequences were viewed by the audience and assessed by the panel of judges. As well as seeing the "Best of British Sequences" another very important aspect of attending the event is socialising with other like minded people.
