Digital Imaging Expo 2017

SIG: Contemporary

The RPS Digital Imaging Group are holding their “DI Expo 2017” in Birmingham in September 2017, with a range of speakers covering a broad spectrum of interests.

The event has 5 sessions planned in the main theatre plus workshop studios set up for portrait and flower photography.  The annual DIG print and projected image exhibitions will be on display.  The RPS Distinctions department are also offering booked Advisory sessions for LRPS & ARPS panels (excluding Nature) so there’s many reasons to attend.

The list of speakers includes photographers likely to be of interest to Contemporary SIG members.  Nick Turpin produces work that fits our Contemporary group ethos – a favourite of mine is the Through the Glass Darkly series, see http://nickturpin.com/winter-bus/ for a great series about commuting.

I’m also interested in checking out the work of David Clapp who is talking about landscape and travel photography at the event. There's lots in his on-line portfolio that I recognise – he’s clearly as much of a fan of Calatrava and Gehry as I am.
