Want to put your documentary skills to the test?

Want a one on one all day session with Stuart Franklin?

Want a fully funded private view and exhibition at a London gallery?

The challenge is to produce a photo essay consisting of 5 images plus title on a subject of your own choosing. The judges will be looking for documentary photographic essays that are representative of the subject matter. The competition will be open to all members of the RPS and will be free to enter. The closing date is 30th June 2017 and the three finalists in each category will be informed by the end of September 2017.

RPS DPotY 2017 is supported by theprintspace.

Before entering you will need to read the information for participants, the rules, and the submission process which uses the facilities of theprintspace. We suggest that reviewing these guidelines may be helpful.

RPS DPotY 2017 will be judged by three well known exponents of documentary photography.

And finally, here's what happens at the end of the competition.

Good luck!
