Volunteer Recognition

The RPS recently introduced a Volunteer Recognition Scheme where RPS volunteers receive a certificate at intervals of 4 years, 8 years and 12 years of service. The first of these certificates were presented recently by Derek Birch (RPS President) to Imaging Science Group committee members. Shown (left to right) are Phil Ellis, Richard Stevens, Derek Birch, Tony Kaye and Mike Christianson. Many thanks to Michael Pritchard for taking the photo.

Alan Hodgson: The opportunity was taken recently at the Imaging Science Group’s Good Picture 2014 Symposium to present Alan Hodgson with his Volunteer Recognition Scheme certificate. Ralph Jacobson: Ralph joined the RPS in 1965 and has held many important posts within the Society, including acting as its President (2005-2007). Ralph has decided to stand down from his formal roles within The Society commencing 2015. Thus the opportunity was taken recently at the Imaging Science Group's Good Picture 2014 Symposium to present Ralph with a trophy in appreciation of his support and commitment to the Imaging  Science Group. The photograph above shows Ralph receiving his trophy from the Chairman of the ISG, Tony Kaye. (Picture by Gary Evans).
