Sketches from Marrakech

Having proved myself inept at traditional painting in my childhood, I was thrilled to find that there was an alternative art form which could satisfy my artistic appetite and my craving for "boy's toys".

Photography has been a passion of mine since 1960 and more recently, digital imaging has extended its creative opportunities for me. Whilst experimenting with digital brushes and filters in Photoshop, I found a combination of styles which, when applied to different parts of a photograph, enabled me to create pictures of the sort I could only dream of producing in my youth.

Albeit unacceptable as a Travel Distinction Panel and not to everyone's taste, this gallery is an example of the technique applied to scenes we enjoyed when my wife and I visited Marrakech in 2007.
