About this album
After the Berlin Wall came down there were photographs of the wall, taken by the East German guards, found in the military archives. The photographs were digitalised and exhibited and I was permitted to photograph their exhibited photographs. The photos all had street names & map references and my partner, who is German, recognised many of the locations. We went to the spot where the East German guard had taken the "Then" photos, and took the"Now" pictures.
They will be in the Contemporary Group journal sometime this year, and are currently (Feb 2014) on exhibition in Lycksele, Lapland.
