The Leamington Tennis Court Club is the oldest real tennis club in existence anywhere in the world. The club was formed in 1844 and the court buit in 1846 as a project built by the local nobility and gentry who wanted to meet and socialise on neutral ground. The game has been played since the middle ages and was popular with the nobility and aristocracy of both England and France. As a private club, there had been very little photographic documentation during it's whole history. Therefore in 2012 I decided to document and produce an exhibition and book to reveal some of the aspects of the club in the present day. Hopefully this will be a useful record in time to come. The book 'Caught in Time' is available from Blurb.com
