Michael has had a career in photography since leaving university - as a photography specialist at the auction house Christie\'s, as a photo-historian, researcher and lecturer. He joined The Society as Director-General in September 2011. Michael represents The Society publicly, heads The Society\'s staff, manages the headquarters building and works with The Society\'s Council and volunteers.
